Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer!
The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. We camp out in between.
This is my second walk and I plan to do many more.
I have started a team, "Team Arizona" for the walk this year. I am hoping to recruit some of my amazing friends (lots of guys participate in this walk also, it's not just girls!) to experience this event with me first hand. There is no way to describe how awesome it is.
I hope that you will make this commitment and walk with us to make a difference. Every single one of us can make a difference. The power of "ONE" can change the world.
So tie those laces and join our team- you will be amazed at what you are capable of!
If I can't convince you to walk with us, please consider making a donation below. We need your support in hitting our goals this year! We each must raise $2200 to walk. If you just donate one months worth of Starbucks or the cost of one meal out at a restaurant, you will make a huge impact! I appreciate your support! If your company matches donations, you can do that as well.
If you or your business makes a charitable donation yearly, please consider making this cause your yearly donation. I plan on doing one or two walks every year for the long haul!
Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.

To walk in this event, each participant must raise $2200. There are a lot of people who think that this is wrong and that you should be able to walk no matter how much you raise. Here are my thoughts on that based on my experience.
I have fund raised for many things since I was in grade school. Most of the time, you are trying to get to a certain level of sales to obtain a "prize". Most people, myself included, don't raise beyond that minimum because they reached the goal of what they wanted.
In some cases, there is no "prize" for your fundraising efforts and in these cases most people, myself included, tend to ask for donation from a few people then stop after they have raised a little bit of money.
What I have found since doing this event last year, is that I spend a lot of time trying to come up with creative ways of raising money for this cause. "Having" to raise such a large amount of money has caused me to be more bold in asking for money and also caused me to think outside the box and come up with fun ideas that bring in the cash!
It is a fun way to be creative and in the end the "prize" for my fundraising effort is that my kids may not have to grow up without me or that anyone else should have to lose a loved one to this disease.
So instead of thinking "why, why, why do I have to raise so much money?" Shift your thinking to "Why not"!
The life you save may very well be your own!
Ask, ask, ask and you will receive!

I am so happy that my life long best friend, Michele Davidson has signed up to do the walk with me. She signed up on my Birthday-what a great gift! I get to spend three days walking and talking with my best friend!
I am also so excited Allison Newlen and Lindie Longshore have signed up as well. They are both really great and lots of fun. I look forward to getting to know them both better over the course of our training and our walk.
Way to go girls! The first step is the hardest!

We are about to start up our training for this year's walk. I am so excited about the walk this year. Some of my favorite people have decided to embark on this journey with Heather and I this year. I am so happy that they have made the decision and the commitment to do the training and raise the money so that one day there will be a cure. Team Arizona is going to rock! Thanks to my amazing friends! I am still working on some them, you know who you are, and I'll continue working on them because I know that these three 3 days will impact their lives in ways I can't explain.
