The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
My husband lost his mother, Arveta, to breast cancer in 1996 at the age of 48. Unfortunately I never met her. I am walking in her memory and with the hope that future generations will see a cure to this terrible disease.
Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer. In order to participate in the walk, I must raise $2,200 before November 7. Any donation (big or small) will help.

THANK-YOU so much to all of you who have supported me in my journey to raise money for my 3-Day event. I could not have done this without you.
Yesterday Ruby and Jill's generous donations put me over the top, and I am now eligible to participate! I am very excited. I am still going forward to do all I can to raise the other $890 to make my personal goal of $3000. I was so scared about making the minimum, so I am so grateful to all of you and hope that I will continue to find support leading up to the walk in November.
I will also be leading training walks from Luke's Locker (in the Shops at Legacy) if anyone is interested in joining me.

The cupcake fundraiser was a success. All 51 sold out, and people at work are still asking when I'll be doing it again. I am planning on trying to have more available in a few weeks. It's a lot of work to get together, but worth it since 100% of the sale went to my walk. :)

This weekend I spent the majority of my time working on a cupcake fundraiser for Monday at work. My awesome friend LeAnn (Sweet Spot) let me come over and take over her mom's kitchen on Saturday afternoon. She shared her super secret baking secrets with me, and we made two delicious flavors of cupcakes and homemade icings. They are both incredible.
They are individually wrapped and tied with ribbon, and I made a little tag for each one which I spent the entire afternoon/ evening doing on Sunday.

We are still working on the layout and will hopefully be getting some help with our header.

In seven days I have already raised $705 toward the fight against breast cancer!
I have been amazed by the support of family, friends and co-workers. I know that this is going to be an incredible journey, and I am excited to share it with you-- every step of the way.
My friend Nikki and I are joining together to form a team, and I will be leading training walks in my community. We have a lot of fun things planned in the months leading up to November.
I will be sending a t-shirt around the country to be signed by all of my donors (and in honor of your loved ones) and I want to be sure that I have it back in time to wear it during my walk. If you intend to donate, let me know so that I can add your address to the list of people it needs to make its way to.
