Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and the National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.

LIFE GOAL
Two of my major goals in life are to be a woman of strength and a positive role model for my children. To achieve these goals, I always surround myself with positive, loving and caring people.
It was those positive, loving and caring people who were there for me when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
Through chemotherapy, radiation, and over 20 surgeries, my strength was tested but I made it through and am now stronger than ever. I didn’t have a choice. There was a family who needed my love and support. I took charge of my health; I took charge of my life; and I became my own best advocate.

ABOUT THE PICTURE ABOVE
I have been blessed with career success in many different fields during my lifetime including real estate sales, group health insurance, and nursing.
The above picture was taken during one of the proudest moments of my professional life. It was the day I was honored by RE/MAX, one of the world’s most successful real estate networks and by Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the global leader in the fight against breast cancer.
It was on that day I met the President and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Hala Moddelmog. She is not only the leader of the global grassroots organization dedicated to discovering and delivering the cures for breast cancer, she is a breast cancer survivor herself, and my own personal inspiration. Many of my goals have been achieved because she cares and shares my passion.



I have now set my own goal of raising $70,000.00 for the 2008 Breast Cancer 3-Day in Philadelphia and I can do it with your help and with the help of others like my nephew, Metts Whipple, who raised funds for last year’s Breast Cancer 3-Day at Georgia Southern College Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

FULL CIRCLE
It’s a funny thing when you get involved with a cause that is as important and meaningful as this one… one that touches you to the very core of your being. Not only does it affect you, but it has an immediate affect on all those around you. Case and point: my nephew mentioned above. He recently experienced the death of his girlfriend and her passing has been the source of much grief and sorrow. However, despite the pain, this year he is still fundraising for the 3-Day. I will keep his strength and courage with me as I walk. I WILL MEET MY GOAL AND TOGETHER WE WILL END BREAST FOREVER!
