YES, I'm doing it again!!!!!

Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
Please consider a donation today, every "penny" helps. This is such a great cause and the vision of The Breast Cancer 3 Day is: "A World without Breast Cancer." How wonderful would that be?To know that not one single person would have to lose a loved one to this terrible disease!!
Walk on Rock on!!!!

Pennies for the Promise

Check back often as I keep a penny tracker on my page. First batch of pennies went to the bank today. I'm converting all donation amounts into pennies so I can keep a running total of pennies I still need to meet my goal.

My Breast Cancer 3 Day 2008!!

Without the love & support of my family & friends, I don't know that I would have had the courage to make this amazing journey again.
Gregorey & Jonathan, the 2 wonderful young men I am so proud to call sons, I love you and I thank you for the pennies, your efforts to sell candy bars, and posting my web link for all of your friends to see.
James, my loving husband, I thank you for all of your love, encouragement, support and putting up with a sometimes cranky me!!!!!
Mom & Dad, you truely are amazing people, and I'm the luckiest daughter in the world to have you by my side.
I walk because I can't walk away.

Jillybean's strapped on her shoes again!!!

Training 19 weeks to go!
Ok, we've done a little better this week, still not where I want or need to be as far my training is concerned, but Monday is a new day and a new week. Chloe is doing very well on leash with me and we walked sbout 7 miles together this week. Salem is getting better on leash as well, still prefers to be off leash, but probably did a total of 2 miles this week. Really great for her. Hell Yeah Salem!!! The girls keep me motivated even when it's cold, so hopefully the mile tracker will be closer to 20 miles for next week. Stay tuned. Thanks for all of your support. Love to all Jillybean

Training 21 weeks out
Ok, so training isn't progressing as well as I would like, but I can finally see the grass. So it's going to get better from here on out. I walked with Julie & JJ her pug for over two miles and all went well. So I came home made dinner and decided to take the girls for a walk. One on leash one off. Let's just say it didn't go as well as I hoped. The walking went fine, but we had some potty problems with Chloe, so it was a long walk home. We'll be out there tomorrow with our raincoats on if we need, both girls have purple raincoats so they'll stay dry and happy. So I'm hoping my mile count will go up as quickly as my penny count goes down. Stay tuned

Training 2008
Yes, I'm at it again, I started my "official" training March 15, 2008 with Chloe by my side, we walked for 20 minutes. Not a lot but terribly cold here still. Than I came in for round 2 and picked up Salem and we cruised the neighborhood for another 10 minutes, that's all Lem can handle at 1 time, but by the end of my walk, I hope she can walk with us for at least 30 minutes.I'll be taking both girls together in the near future, need to get Salem used to walking on a leash again, and Chloe used to having more than 1 walking partner at a time. Have a great week.
