Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.

Finally, I think summer has arrived! Now for some nice mornings and evenings to go for a walk! I just got home from 2 weeks of horse showing, and I am ready to train! My mom and I are going to do the 5k on Lopez Island next month as part of our training. I am really excited about preparing for this event!

I did my first official training walk last weekend! It was a little over 4.5 miles in length and I was not sore the next day! I was so great to meet other participants in the event and hear the stories from past walkers. I am looking forward to meeting more folks walking for the cure!

It has been a little over a month since I started working towards the 3-Day Walk. Since I have been so involved with horse shows, my structured physical training has gotten off to a slow start. However, I have been able to incorporate more walking into my daily routine around the barn and at the shows.
I am very excited about being part of this event. Thank you to evryone who has offered their words of encouragement!
